Top If one or more of your classes is not available on the class selection page of WSU Pipeline (in the School Services/Administrative Services/Faculty and Advisor Services area), please contact the Schedule Coordinator in your Department or College. If you are having trouble logging onto Pipeline or are having other software problems, contact your department technical support person or the C&IT Help Desk (313-577-4778). In this case please indicate the precise problem your are having or error message you are receiving in as much detail as possible - include the type of hardware, operating system, and browser version.
Problem with Internet Explorer 6 being unable to display more than 1 page of students (~25) on the web grading form without causing a java error.
RESOLVED with a software patch as of 2 PM 9/30/02.CPIP connector errors and other System errors: Such errors can occur upon entering the 'Faculty and Advisor Services' area if you have a changed ID or PIN number. (Sometimes this can occur as a result of system maintenance needed after conversion from the old SIS system to Banner.) If you encounter such an error, call the C&IT Help desk and they can correct the problem by refreshing your Pipeline data from Banner.
No confirmation page appears after grade submission: We are not sure if this is a real problem. The confirmation of grade submission is a bit hard to spot since essentially the same grading page is returned with the message "The grade changes you made have been saved successfully." at the top. You may need to scroll up to see it. If you are still unsure whether your grades have been properly stored, start a new pipeline session - the grades that are stored will appear as the page opens. If the grades you thought you submitted do not reappear in the grading form, try resubmitting them. If you can't get the grades to store, please call the C&IT Help Desk letting them know the problem as well as your browser and operating system (include version numbers if possible).
The following issue was reported 12/16/02: Each time an instructor tried to enter an estimated Last Attend Date the system returned a message 'Student has not withdrawn from the class'. This is NOT an error, it is only a warning message. The information submitted should successfully enter the database. The message is built in and is meant to indicate to the instructor that the student for which the Last Attend Date was entered has not officially withdrawn. This message will arise, for example, if you submit an 'X' grade along with the Last Attend Date information. Don't let it deter you from entering the date, just be sure you use the specified date format 'MM/DD/YYYY'; for example, 12/16/2002.
- When multiple pages of students are entered for a single class, it is necessary to submit each page. If you fill out several pages of grades and submit only after the last page, only the last page will be saved.
